Independence Day: 15 Auguest 2016
Aishwarya College also celebrated the 69thIndependence Day with the patriotic zeal on 15th August 2016. The
chief guest was Prof. Vinod Agarwal, Chairman University Sports Board, MLS
University, who hosted the national flag. The welcome speech was given by Dr.
A.N. Mathur Group Director. Prof Agarwal began his speech with the words of
Shri Ram Prasad Bismil, “Even if I have to face death a thousand times for the
sake of my motherland, I shall not be sorry. Oh Lord grant me hundreds birth in
India. But grant me this, too, that each time I may give up my life for the
service of my motherland.” He spoke that India is a land of culture, heritage, religion and we all
should work together and make efforts to save our country. He motivated the
students by saying that they are the youth, the future of India is in youth
power; the youth with full determination, dedication and hard work can make
India a progressive country. The staff and students
paid their homage to freedom fighters and took an oath for maintaining the
dignity of the nation.
The students of all units performed song, dance, poem, skit on patriotism theme.
